Dry Needling:
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are much smaller and thinner than syringes. Often, you won’t feel the needle’s insertion due to their thin and gentle nature. Once a needle reaches its intended depth, you may feel a mild, dull ache or a slight tingling sensation that is called Qi sensation. This sensation indicates that the treatment is working and the acupuncture point is being activated. While the treatment isn’t intended to hurt, if you experience significant discomfort, please inform your practitioner so they can adjust or remove the needles.
