Jenna McMaster
Psychologist
Master of Psychology (Counselling) | Bachelor of Psychological Science (First Class Honours)
Jenna is a Counselling Psychologist who holds registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and is also a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).
Since graduating from university, Jenna has been further exploring neurodevelopmental assessments. She is experienced in assessing both children and adults for a range of conditions including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), giftedness, and specific learning disorders (SLDs) including dyslexia (difficulties with reading), dysgraphia (difficulties with writing), and dyscalculia (difficulties with math).
Jenna has experience with a range of assessment tools, and tailors a battery of those tools to each individual client. Unlike many other practitioners that offer neurodevelopmental assessments amongst therapy offerings, Jenna has dedicated a significant portion of the working week to completing assessments of this kind, exemplifying her passion for this area of psychology.
Jenna believes that the assessment process is not about labelling or stigmatising individuals, but giving the client the opportunity to better understand their difficulties and give them direction as to how to move forward. She enjoys being able to provide clarity and validation to individuals and families who are often at a key turning point in their lives.
