Lara Augustson

Psychologist

Lara has worked with clients aged between 3 to 90 years old, from remote Aboriginal communities within the Northern Territory to clients in major cities. Her areas of expertise include early childhood developmental assessments, intellectual disability and academic achievement assessment , foetal alcohol syndrome assessment, Autism Spectrum Disorder assessment, psychosocial assessment, functional behavioural assessment, forensic assessment, interventions, and play therapy. Using evidence-based approaches and a holistic perspective, she works with her clients to achieve their goals.  “I believe that wellness is in the journey and not the destination! Anabela Novas

Exercise Physiologist
B. Phys Ed & Sports Science; Masters Health Science; PhD in Exercise Immunology.
Anabela is a clinical exercise physiologist and health researcher. Since she is also an athlete (tennis player), she has the understanding and ability to help those who need to achieve higher performance levels, after suffering from an injury, illness or a period of inactivity. She is passionate about endorsing physical activity as an essential element of life and healthy living. Her role in assessing the needs and goals of each client and prescribing effecting exercise is enhanced by providing education and encouragement to ensure the achievement of the best outcomes. Anabela’s areas of expertise include cardiovascular disease (prevention and rehabilitation), diabetes, metabolic disorders, obesity, immune and rheumatologic diseases, falls prevention and frailty, children’s problems (ADHD, lack of physical activity, poor muscle tone, balance issues), and mental health (e.g.: anxiety, stress, depression).

Dr. Dana Mir

Osteopath
Specialist in managing pain and restricted function; joint mobilisation; headaches; chronic pain.
Dr. Mir’s interest in osteopathy stems from a passion for helping others and a fascination with how our bodies heal. He specialises in managing pain and restricted function through techniques like muscle soft-tissue work, joint mobilisation, stretching, and dry needling, as well as handling conditions ranging from headaches and migraines to injuries and chronic pain. He believes in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. his approach integrates modern and traditional healthcare philosophies, emphasising non-invasive therapies to support natural healing processes. Personalised plans are created based on each patient’s history, lifestyle, and body mechanics. “My patient-centred approach sets me apart. I take the time to understand each patient’s needs and tailor treatments, accordingly, empowering them with the knowledge and tools for active health management. Nicole is an accredited sports dietitian, with a passion for nutrition grew from her strong sporting background growing up. Competing at an elite level in swimming and running meant nutrition was a major focus for her performance and lifestyle. Nicole believes food should be enjoyable, sustainable, individualised and tailored to a person’s own lifestyle, all while supporting positive physical and mental health outcomes long term. Her specialty areas include sports nutrition, gut health, eating disorders, weight management, and improving one’s eating habits. “My aim is to share my knowledge, experiences, resources and tools with others and create personalised plans so that they can achieve good nutrition, reach their goals and thrive in aspects of life that are important to them.”

Sonia Faruquie

Dietitian

With a master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics and over a decade of experience in the nutrition and dietetics industry, Sonia has helped clients make positive changes to their overall health and well-being, by teaching people how to balance their health and lifestyles to achieve their personal health goals.  With so much health information out there, it’s easy to get caught into nutrition related misinformation. But Sonia believes with the right expertise, guidance and tailored advice, anyone at any age can change and improve their health and wellness.  She works with clients one-on-one and uses a multidisciplinary healthcare team approach, with expert input from other medical and allied health specialty areas, to get the best client outcomes.   Sonia’s areas of expertise include diabetes (T2DM, T1DM, gestational diabetes, diabetes and pregnancy planning), PCOS, weight management, bariatric surgery, bone health, heart disease, hypertension, respiratory disease, emotional eating, disability, aged care, and corporate health. “I love seeing happy clients when people reach their goals, I can see them being further motivated to make more changes towards better health and wellness.”

Eloise is a Clinical Psychology Registrar who has a masters degree in Clinical Psychology. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in education, public health, and clinic-based settings. Eloise also has experience providing cognitive, educational, and neurodevelopmental (ADHD and Autism) assessments.   Eloise is passionate about person-centred, collaborative therapy that is tailored to suit clients’ individual needs and strengths. Her areas of expertise include PTSD, complex trauma, personality disorders, neurodiversity, body image, cognitive psychology, and common challenges like anxiety and depression. She understands that seeking psychological support can be unnerving and overwhelming, so she is committed to creating a warm, compassionate, and safe environment to facilitate meaningful change. “I believe everyone deserves to be empowered and supported to create a life that enables them to thrive rather than just survive. My goal is always first to create a warm, compassionate, and safe environment where clients feel supported to be their authentic selves.”

Parinaz’ philosophy as a physiotherapist is focused on empowering clients through education. By helping them understand their injury or condition, as well as the factors that caused it, she enables them to actively participate in their own recovery process. She believes in increasing an individual’s capacity to handle greater physical loads, which plays a key role in injury prevention. Her approach to healthcare is centered around a client-focused, holistic model. Her areas of expertise include musculoskeletal conditions (acute and chronic), sports injuries, prehabilitation for joint replacement surgeries, post-operative rehabilitation, back and neck pain, joint and muscle pain, tendinopathy and tendon repair, arthritis management, and manual therapy techniques (e.g., joint mobilization, soft tissue therapy). “I have successfully helped clients recover from injuries, manage pain, and restore mobility through tailored treatment plans. My holistic approach combines manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, and patient education to ensure long-term success and prevent re-injury. I also enjoy using Pilates-based exercises in prehab and rehab of clients, management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions and general strength and conditioning.”
