Anabela is a clinical exercise physiologist and health researcher. Since she is also an athlete (tennis player), she has the understanding and ability to help those who need to achieve higher performance levels, after suffering from an injury, illness or a period of inactivity. She is passionate about endorsing physical activity as an essential element of life and healthy living. Her role in assessing the needs and goals of each client and prescribing effecting exercise is enhanced by providing education and encouragement to ensure the achievement of the best outcomes.
Anabela’s areas of expertise include cardiovascular disease (prevention and rehabilitation), diabetes, metabolic disorders, obesity, immune and rheumatologic diseases, falls prevention and frailty, children’s problems (ADHD, lack of physical activity, poor muscle tone, balance issues), and mental health (e.g.: anxiety, stress, depression).
