Teresa is a highly experienced psychologist whose practice is grounded in psychological and medical knowledge. She believes that wellbeing involves supporting the whole person and understanding the social and cultural context of each individual. In therapy she values each person as an individual and strives to understand their needs and hopes. She works from the values of respect and compassion and does this through being optimistic and authentic. Teresa’s work as a psychologist has spanned 30 years, and during this time she has had the privilege to work across several states of Australia with a wide range of individuals. Her experience has included working with Mums and Bubs, supporting parents, behaviour management with young children, school and adolescent issues, anxiety, depression and other mental health disorders, work issues, drug and alcohol issues, medical issues including chronic disease, and transitions. She has skills in several therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy, (EMDR), Schema Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Play Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).
